Hampton Inn Silver Spring

I thought that the facility was ideal for my trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff were there to aid us and were freindly and curtious. The room was excellent, well appointed and clean. Jim

Great reception when I drove up(Valet Service) Excellebt check in Help with luggage,etc. Outstanding breakfast selection and quality. The best I have had at any Hampton Inn. I stayed in a hi last night and the breakfast was nowhere close to Silver Spring. At Silver Spring, I went to the breakfast host and thanked her both days for our breakfast. I hate to go back to my home breakfast! I can't compete! Check out was excellent. The Valet Service was quick with three people jumping in and getting us on the way. They were very friendly and very caring. Just an excellent experience! Thanks too all Bryce Gilmer

The room was a little small with my wife on a walker. We had to move a bench to even get her into the room. She was ok after that. No deal breaker!

Location, cost, and cleanliness.

Parking hassle. In fact the parking didn't end up being difficult at all - but I felt completely lost upon arrival as I had no idea how to find the parking lot because the one adjacent to the hotel was closed. If the hotel just posted a small parking map on the website it would have saved lots of hassle. Once we figured it all out, then parking was absolutely fine, but it was the lack of information which caused the problem. There were apparently too parking lots and one (the one we chose first) required us to wake up at 7.00am to feed the meter. This was VERY distressing - adding stress to a business trip.

Very good location, close to subway and restaurants and shops. Room was very nice and breakfast was very good and not too crowded.

Not a fault of the hotel, but you will need valet parking which was $15 per day.

Location was excellent for access to dc and close by restaurants

Staff training may be an issue here. While the front desk was always responsive they counld't overcome the fact that our room wasn't cleaned one of the days we were there or that the breakfast was just ok, but not great.

Stayed 3 days during Hurricane Irene evacuation. Great location for walking to restaurants. Close to free weekend parking. Very close to D.C. Enjoyed the pool and breakfast.

The gym facilities didn't have resistance machines. Rooms didn't have wifi

Location near a Metrorail station so we did not need a car. Oatmeal and fruit served for breakfast, Fruit available 24/7. Amenities were just what we needed. Comfortable beds. Nice exercise room, pool and stairwell. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Could hear conversations through wall of adjoining room.

Friendly staff, business center for email, printing, fax options, great breakfast, ideal location for dc, area has a variety of good restaurants, hotel has decent exercise room

As we arrived,we were greeted buy a very happy staff. The front desk was very professional. My wife needed to have her insulin kept under refrigeration. A friendly staffer brought a mini frig. To our room. The breakfast was done very well. I can't think of anything negative about our stay. All my relative were also impressed. We are planning a return in the spring and have a mini family reunion. Anyway keep up the good work and happy holidays. Sincerely kenneth wong

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Proximity to dc Center and to the Metro Service was also great.

The building was beautiful and the rooms were always very clean. The staff was very nice, and the building was quiet despite being right on Colesville Road in downtown Silver Spring. It's also a great place to be if you want to see the city and don't want to use a car.

The only thing that's difficult about staying in a city is parking. I prefer not to use Valet parking, but it wasn't difficult to find a public lot that was free on the weekends. During the week, however, I might have been more frustrated with the Valet-only option.

Nice room, good beds, perfectly friendly staff, 24h open door+reception, 24h free tea+coffee, valet parking reasonably priced (15 $/day), shopping+recreation opportunities within walking distance, easy Metro access to Washington.

No bar, no restaurant, only American breakfast (everything sweet, no bread in the European sense of "bread"), NOT environment friendly (only disposables: plates, bowls, cups, silverware, all food in single packages....) - not my idea of a modern,responsible Hotel of the HILTON group...

Il servizio di pulizia segue orari assurdi: le pulizie vengono fatte durante il pomeriggio, hanno persino bussato alla mia porta alle 23 per chiedermi se avevo bisogno di asciugamani o altro per il bagno. la cosa mi ha anche un po' spaventato, tanto che non ho aperto.
